Welcome to Melina Be’s home studio where you are met with old world warmth that transports you to a place long ago, brimming with love and art. Neighbors, friends and relatives stop by for tea and fresh baked lemon cake while they knit and needle felt together around the welcoming kitchen table. Garden remnants line the kitchen counter - tomatillos, cherry tomatoes, peppers, herbs. Every cup and plate brimming with tender morsels of hospitality, a unique handmade piece of local art. The backyard brims with peach and cherry trees, winding grapevines and towering sunflowers. Every wall has been meticulously curated by Melina with beautiful artifacts. Art books topple from every shelf. Natural fibers, branches, beads, looms and stacks of ornate fabrics create a rich tapestry that is the culture and kindness of Melina Be.
