  • Weaving.

Her passion for weaving is almost 20 years old. Experience teaching tapestry, loom weaving as well as eclectic artform. With standard looms to frames made of found wood. Wolverine Publick House has some of her art installations regularly.

  • Sewing.

Since her teenage years, slow hand stitching, machine sewing, patchwork and quilting. Making blankets, bags, pouches, stuffed animals & creatures. Teaching all ages is very inspirational.

  • Leather work.

For ten years and more extensively in the last five years. Leather handbags, crayon pouches, book covers, earrings, belts,… And the leather work painting is another great addition.

  • Knitting.

First love and since her teenage years and again from her twenties to today. Has always been told she is very patient which has been very valuable in teaching this artform.

  • Felting.

Color and texture, as one of her favorites, can be expressed very well through needle and wet felting. Wet felting is a great spring and summer activity as it involves the use of water.

  • Children’s Art.

As a very playful person and grown child herself, Mélina derives energy from children’s art. Sometimes you might even meet her with her sidekick Zora - her 10 year old daughter - She will teach the adults in an adult/children class and Zora will be teaching the children. A fun duet and parallel experience!
