A Market Year

My booth at Wolverine in 2021

I cannot say enough how much fun I am having participating in weekly markets this year.

They are hard and a lot of work. But I enjoy sharing a booth with fellow artisans like Joey of Joseph Miranda Pottery and seeing or meeting fellow vendors.

I sometimes don’t sell a lot and sometimes feel as though I do well and it is so rewarding when people appreciate your work or the work you have put into a specific piece. They don’t even have to buy it! It just feels good when someone shares a love or passion for something that I have in turn created with love and passion.

This weekend I am trying something new: I am venturing into unknown territory. I have a market in Boulder, Colorado. It is about an hour and twenty minutes from where I live in Fort Collins. My mom will come and help me on Saturday and I am so excited and grateful that she will be sharing this new adventure with me. I will probably need that mom energy and juju!

The market in Boulder is called Firefly Handmade and I had been hearing about it for a while amongst fellow artists, artisans and makers. I love that they focus on handmade, unique, one of a kind, sustainable artisans because that is so important to me and I feel as though I fit most of those requirements.

I can’t wait to see what wonderful artists and their works of art will be at Firefly. Come down to Boulder if you can this weekend! The market starts Friday evening.
