A couple of years ago, my friend Donna approached me to share a studio space together, a former pie shop and before that a gas station, to create together. I moved my 36” Schacht Mighty Wolf loom and a year later my leather and tools (see Perla series).

As I began weaving more and more, I set a goal to weave 10 yards minimum of fabric at a time, which turned out to be 6-7 scarves and cowls. I found myself drawn to bright colors, like lime greens, hot pinks, and subtle blues, and find a way to weave them into unique patterns and textures. The Piccola series was born.
