After a Month…
Very early morning bike ride with my mom is therapy.
After five days at my brother’s house in Montels and to get Zora tested in Béziers where her future school is towards the end of June, we went back to my parents’ house for almost a week. We enjoyed the sun, the pool, their and my grandma’s company. Then Zora and I went back to our - soon to be new stomping grounds of Montels. We got her registered at the new school where she got accepted. She is excited though the school seems big to her with seven hundred students.
Back to my parents’ house we find out officially that they are going to separate. Keep this a secret please, my mom wants to announce it to our family as soon as she is ready. It is a little bit of a shock, though not that big a one. But my mom is very shaken up, sad and mad.
We just got back from a few days in Hyères where my aunt and uncle live. We got to see two of my cousins, hear great music, see beautiful beaches and experience some nice hot - but not too hot - weather. 30 degrees Celsius instead of 40 at my brother’s.
Today I am back at my parents’ and my brother and sister showed up this afternoon for a much needed pow wow. I am grateful for our distant ancestors for this great tradition that is such an important psychology tool. We took a big walk with Archie (our sweet dog) around the mile and a half country side. Another great tool to vent, talk, brainstorm, be supportive, bring up ideas,…
I will say goodbye for now, sending you all much love while I try to keep LOVE at the table during these trying times.
Peace,
Mélina
